Rocky Road Remedies, a retail marijuana dispensary, is looking for a motivated, positive, and eager candidate to join our Thornton team as a Lead Budtender. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and extensive training. We are looking for individuals who can see the pulse of the business and lead the sales floor in a role that helps to cultivate leadership skills while also enforcing the day-to-day operation of the store. Our Leads will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities to positively coach, reinforce, correct behavior and continuously provide feedback to the team, while setting an example to other employees of what a good budtender is. A lead will also be the go-to person for sales floor needs, essentially acting as a department head for the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Explain processes and inform customers of promotions, sales, new products, popular products and relevant products for customer needs
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality products, cash handling and store safety and security
• A team player with a calm and patient demeanor with good energy and a positive persona
• Extensive product knowledge and a strong understanding of MED regulations
• A strong understanding of our inventory process (product reception, audits, replenishment)
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent cash handling skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills

The duties and responsibilities of a Budtending Lead include, but are not limited to the following:

• Training, developing, and motivating the team, including new hires
• Leading and promoting excellent customer service through coaching, role modeling, and utilizing customer feedback to reinforce and improve quality of service
• Driving store-level financial and operational results
• Managing inventory levels and displaying product
• Ensuring customer feedback and concerns are addressed within a timely manner;
• Ensuring cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of store’s interior and exterior;
• Protecting store assets, facilities, and team members by ensuring all team members’ adherence to operational guidelines and standards, compliance with all safety and security policies, and through proper functioning and maintenance of store equipment
• Reviewing of reports for proper money and inventory reconciliation
• Overseeing all training programs on the sales floor and providing guidance, direction, and support so team members are ready to perform in their roles

• 21 Years of age and have an active MED badge with the State of Colorado
• Colorado Drivers License or State ID
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Open availability, Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, or bend for long periods of time
• Able to lift, carry and balance 50lbs by self. (100lbs with assistance)
• Must be able to work around all smells of the dispensary
